🧧 Astra H Display Not Working

This is a common problem on Astra's between 2005 - 2007. If the light & speedo problem has only happened since the brake pads and discs were changed, then it's likely that the wiring to the front hub has been damaged. I think the speedo is sensed from the nearside front hub, so that's where I would start looking. On my Astra H the boot release and screen washers share the same fuse, the problem I am having to day is my key fob will not work, the only access I have into the car is the driver's door using the key. My fuel cap, passenger door and boot are all locked. Even the central locking button on the dash does not work. driving along and the clock went off ,so checked the fuses all ok ,took it off to check the bulbs all ok noticed that i could see the numbers faintley put it back together still did not work,so tapped the top of it and it came on for few seconds and then went back out again. has any one had the same problem and would know how to sort it:Cool2: I spent ages searching online trying to find out why this Astra H kept thinking the key was still in the ignition, finally sorted the problem, hopefully it h Holden reducing the interval for timing belts from 100,000 to 80,000 due to a raft of belts snapping in owners vehicles. This imho perfectly sums up how 'well built' TS Astra's were.
